June 24 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm

Dr. Quincy Almeida
Professor, Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education; Director, Movement Disorders and Rehabilitation Centre

COVID-19 has changed our world and how we will live in it. No doubt, it has had a major impact on everything we do, and how we go about doing it. Elderly populations, and especially those dealing with neurodegenerative conditions have been impacted in many ways, and in some cases it may be contributing to progression of disease. This webinar will focus on the impact of COVID-19 on individuals with Parkinson’s, solutions and strategies that have been commonly employed to cope with these challenges, and how Parkinson’s research has been impacted by the pandemic. In addition, an interactive discussion of what this will mean in the future for individuals with Parkinson’s disease will be led by Dr. Almeida.
